China Steel Construction Society have successfully completed their training program trip to Japan
To implement the cooperation agreement signed with the Japanese Society of Steel Construction (JSSC) and the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS), China Steel Construction Society (CSCS) organized a delegation of 17 participants to the AOTS Tokyo Training Center in Japan for training from September 15 to 21, 2025.

At the opening ceremony, Ms. Chieko Yamaguchi, Managing Director of AOTS, Mr. Naohiro Haneda, Chairperson of the Subcommittee for the Promotion of Steel Structures Overseas of JSSC, and Mr. Li Qingwei, secretary general of CSCS, delivered speeches respectively. Ms. Gocho Hina, the project leader of the AOTS training program, provided a detailed introduction to the course design, training content, and precautions.

In the subsequent training course, Mr. Naohiro Haneda, Chairperson of the Subcommittee for the Promotion of Steel Structures Overseas of JSSC, and Mr. Suzuki Kazuaki, Deputy Secretary-General of JSSC, gave a detailed introduction to the promotion and application of Japanese steel structures from the perspectives of economic growth and steel market, the development history of Japanese steel structures, and the application of steel structures in seismic design, with the theme of " Efforts to promote steel structures in Japan by JSSC ". Mr. Yoshimoto Shun, head of building materials development and technology at Nippon Steel Corporation, gave a lecture on high-strength steel and welding techniques.

Mr. TAKI Masaya, Leader of Architectural Design Division at Kajima Corporation, gave a lecture on "Structural Design (Seismic Design) and Steel Structure Technology in Real Projects " and led the participants to visit High-Rise Building Construction Site World Trade Center Building Construction Project for in-depth discussions on relevant construction technologies.

Mr. Yu TAKABATAKE, Principal Researcher of Materials Reliability Research Department, Steel Research Laboratory at Nippon Steel Corporation, gave a detailed introduction on Corrosion and Anti-Corrosion of Steel Materials.

Finally, China and Japan held a structural steel technology exchange meeting focusing on the technical details of China's typical steel structure project cases for in-depth exchange. AOTS held a training graduation ceremony and awarded graduation certificates to the participants.
